CELI has been established to strengthen the English-speaking community of Quebec (ESCQ) by supporting community-based service providers in the field of English literacy and essential skills, and employability and employment.
CELI will increase the availability and access to English literacy and essential skills programs and services based on Skills for Success (SFS), a model created by the Government of Canada’s Employment & Social Development (ESDC) as an update to its Essential Skills Framework.
CELI’s key activities include community grants and partnerships, timely research, training and resources, and multi-stakeholder community forums.
Update: The Request for Expressions of Interest for CELI’s first community grants cycle is now closed.
We look forward to announcing the finalists very soon.
